That's been our motto since 1963. And though much has changed since then, this simple phrase still defines our company even after 60 years in business. In partnership with our customers, our employees and vendors, as one team we are solving problems and engineering solutions to packaging needs around the world.
Like so many companies, Bomarko began by converting paper for only one product in a single market segment over 60 years ago. That product was a jumbo roll of waxed paper sold for further converting into small squares used to separate hamburger patties! At that time, Bomarko basically consisted of one waxer and shipped waxed rolls approximately 85 miles west of the waxing plant, located in Plymouth, Indiana.
Today, Bomarko ships internationally, and consists of three converting facilities containing a combination of wide web presses, coating lines and slitting-rewinding stations in addition to fully integrated converting operations.
In 1963, Robert "Bob" Koch (KO) founded Bomarko. Bob (BO), together with his wife Margaret (MAR), decided upon the name BO-MAR-KO.

Plymouth, Indiana April 13, 1963 was the turning of the first shovel of dirt at the ground breaking ceremony for Bomarko, Inc. Robert M. Koch, corporation president, and Walter Glaub, president of the Plymouth Industrial Development Corp., broke ground at the site on Oak Road.
Robert Koch, president of Bomarko, Inc., showed how paper was waxed at the new plant recently constructed on an 11-acre site on Oak Road adjacent to the old Nickel Plate railroad. Koch conducted a tour for fellow members of the Plymouth Rotary club on August 20, 1963.
Today Bomarko ships internationally from three converting facilities. A major 60,000 square-foot expansion underway in 2026 adds new manufacturing capacity, with $5M+ recently invested in equipment and facilities. We continue investing in the future.

With over 60 years of converting history, Bomarko provides local, regional and national food service distributors with butter and margarine paper, and paper/foil laminated products as well as private labeled packaging. We offer paper wrappers in both grease-proof and waxed structures as well as paper/foil laminated structures for portioned single serve reddies, chips, continentals, quarter pound sticks and pound blocks.
All substrates meet established food grade cleanliness requirements. Crisp pleating/forming and minimum wall flair provide superior dispensing, stacking, and packing characteristics. Excellent handling due to targeted porosity for vacuum feeding result in better-than-industry-standard performance in automatic de-nesting equipment.
Bomarko produces a wide variety of wax coated paper twist wrappers for the candy and cough drop markets. Our twist wraps have wrapped some of the biggest names in the business for over 50 years. Our ability to custom make wrappers specifically designed to run on today's high speed twisting machines is second to none, holding form and shape while eliminating tearing in the folds.
Bomarko provides a superior wax coated paper for various uses, suitable for all kinds of automatic folding packaging machinery, converted at high speeds. Widely used in the confectionary industry to provide high gloss values, excellent release from sticky sweets and high scuff resistance. These wax formulas can be modified for your exact needs.
"Patty" packaging products is where we beat the competition because of our experience and variety. Our developed and engineered custom machines produce a large product mix making us the most proficient converter of patty paper. Today we offer a vast array of waxed, coated and printed papers converted for separating meat, poultry, cheese, bakery and deli foods.

We produce both matte and high gloss surfaces in various coating weights and basis weights customized for your needs. We can treat the surface for off line printing if required. This equipment gives Bomarko capabilities on paper and foil structures along with the ability to do a variety of coatings, printing, and laminating. The combination of these abilities makes Bomarko a complete packaging and coating supplier.
At Bomarko, our printing capabilities for the flexible packaging industries comprise of both Flexographic and Rotogravure technologies. We have stand alone rotogravure and flexo presses along with other pieces of equipment that have gravure printing/coating stations in-line. This gives us the unique abilities to customize a product to the exact needs of our customers.
On both flexo and rotopresses we can print up to six colors and our Gravure equipment can handle five colors. We have been able to combine separate processes into one seamless laminating-printing-coating process, which has given us the unique abilities to produce many different types of structures and processes for your needs.
